Changing perceptions on HIV testing through exam sheets
Insight
On an average, a person approximately takes more than a hundred exams in a lifetime. If they had the courage to surpass these tests, they could possibly have the same courage to take that one test that could save their lives.
Problem
HIV or AIDS has always been branded as a black mark in the eyes of society. This leaves many sexually active people scared of getting themselves tested for HIV.
Idea
To benchmark HIV testing as an ordinary test where letters A, B, C, D in multiple choice examinations could be changed into A, I, D, S. This could gradually change people’s mindsets in perceiving HIV testing as something as normal as taking any other exam. We will tap private and government institutions that provide academic, licensure and professional exams, as well as companies, to join the movement. With this campaign, adolescents as young as 15 can start adapting an open mind when it comes to HIV testing.
